Software Development Engineer to Mirka!

With decades of experience, Mirka Ltd is a world leader in surface finishing technology. Mirka offers a wide range of solutions for surface finishing and precision sanding. We specialise in total solutions in which the abrasives are supplemented by our innovatively designed machines and polishing compounds.

We’re looking for a Software Development Engineer, who’s interested in software development, with a can-do-attitude. As a Software Development Engineer, you will be designing and developing software for Mirka’s growing Power Tools product family.

In this role, you will be working with enhancing solutions for both new and existing products. You'll also take part in cutting-edge technology development projects, working closely with other software, electronics, and mechanical engineers. Collaboration with our international partners will also be an integral part of your responsibilities.

Who You Are:

• you hold (or are soon to complete) a degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, or Automation Engineering (M.Sc. or Engineer).
• you’re interested in programming, especially developing embedded software using C.
• knowledge of Visual Studio .NET (languages such as C#, Visual Basic), C++ and experience in system design are seen as merit.
• knowledge of electronics is also seen as merit.
• a curious team player who thrives in collaboration but is also capable of working independently.
• fluent in English, and you can communicate effectively in Swedish or Finnish.

Location:

• Your main office is located at our headquarters in Jepua and you can partially work remotely from home or at our office in Vaasa or Pietarsaari.
